All India Bakchod hosted India's first major celebrity roast featuring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and roastmaster Karan Johar. The event raised funds for charity. The video went online to massive views.

Multiple FIRs followed. The video was taken down. All celebrities publicly distanced themselves. AIB faced a sustained legal and PR crisis that contributed to the company's eventual collapse.

Censorship won. AIB removed the video, faced years of legal trouble, and ultimately dissolved as a company. The roast format was effectively dead in India for almost a decade.
